John began his ministry here in January 2024, and has been in ministry since 2003. John and his wife; both McMinn County natives have two grown children Michael and Patricia and a son-in-law Noah all who life in Niota, TN. John has BS degrees in Mathematics, History, and Education from Tennessee Wesleyan University, and a MA in Ministry from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently seeking his certification in Biblical Counseling through ACBC. 

Wilma was saved at LVBC June 10, 1979. She began serving the church as church clerk in 1993, then in 1999 she also started working as the church treasurer/secretary. She retired from Roane State Community College in 2019. She is married to Jerry Black and they have three boys (Derek Black, Michael and Tim Fink), which have blessed them with four grandchildren, which she really enjoys spending time with. She really loves her church and enjoys serving them in any way that she can. She also enjoys walking and reading.
